PARAMJIT SINGH Vs. STATE OF PUNJAB

JUDGEMENT

(1.) THIS is a petition for quashing of case titled 'State versus Paramjit Singh and others' arising out of FIR No.159 dated 19.11.2007, under Sections 323 and 324 read with Section 34, IPC and cross case under Sections 148, 323 and 325 read with Section 149 IPC, registered at Police Station, Kurali, District SAS Nagar, and all the subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of a compromise.

(2.) VIDE order dated 26.3.2012, this Court had directed the affected parties to appear before the learned trial court on 30.3.2012 and get their statements recorded with regard to the compromise. That court was also directed to send the status report in that regard.

(3.) LEARNED counsel for respondent Nos.2 and 3 admits the factum of compromise and has no objection if the impugned FIR and the consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
