PARVINDER SINGH Vs. PANJAB UNIVERSITY, SECTOR 14, CHANDIGARH

JUDGEMENT

(1.) A Syndicate decision rejecting the recommendation given by the Selection Committee for the appointment to the post of Controller of Examinations with Panjab University, Chandigarh, is the subject of challenge in this writ petition.

(2.) In an advertisement notification No.6/2011 for the post of Controller of Examinations, the experience qualification was as under:-

(3.) The Selection Committee which had carried out the interview had taken a decision to recommend to the Syndicate the petitioner as the eligible candidate. The Selection Committee was headed by the Vice-Chancellor and Professors of high standing from various Universities had been also members of the Selection Committee.
