JUDGEMENT

(1.) THIS revision petition is directed against the judgment dated 20.1.2012 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Hoshiarpur, dismissing the appeal of the petitioners against the judgment of conviction and sentence dated 8.10.2007, passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Dasuya, convicting the petitioners and sentencing them as under:

LEARNED counsel for the petitioners at the very outset did not argue the case on merit but alternatively prayed that since the petitioners have already undergone almost 6 months out of the total period of sentence of one year and six months and also the fact that they have been facing trial since long, a lenient view may be taken on the quantum of sentence.

(3.) ACCORDINGLY, the revision petition is dismissed and conviction and sentence of the petitioners is upheld.
