JUDGEMENT

(1.) By filing the present petition under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the petitioner has sought pre-arrest bail in case FIR No.4 dated 9.9.2012, registered under Sections 7/8/12/13 (1)(d) read with Section 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act at Police Station Vigilance Bureau Flying Squad-I, SAS Nagar, Mohali.

(2.) Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the demand and acceptance of any amount by the petitioner is not established. He further submits that the petitioner had already been transferred from Vigilance Bureau, Ludhiana on 30.8.2012. The FIR was registered on 1.9.2012. The FIR is motivated to frame the petitioner, as the complainant is a close friend of one Rakesh Gupta, Motor Vehicle Inspector, posted at Sangrur, whose premises were raided by the petitioner on 17.7.2012, and a huge cash and incriminating documents worth L 15 Crores including one Kg. 300 grams opium was recovered.
