JUDGEMENT

(1.) THIS petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure has been filed for quashing of FIR No.58 dated 23.02.2006, under Sections 326, 324, 323, 341, 148, 149 of the Indian Penal Code (for short 'the IPC'), registered at Police Station Banga, District Nawanshahar, and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise arrived at between the parties.

(2.) IT is contended that the co-accused already stands acquitted by the learned trial Court on 30.07.2008, on the same set of evidence.

(3.) THE parties along with their identity proofs, duly identified by their respective counsel, are present in the Court. A short reply by way of affidavit has been filed by the complainant, Charanjit Singh @ Channa. The complainant has admitted the factum of compromise.
