KARAJ SINGH Vs. STATE OF PUNJAB

JUDGEMENT

(1.) On 19.2.2001, Paramjit Singh and Ajitpal Singh were going on scooter No. PB03G-9659 of Amandeep Singh and Amandeep Singh and Jaswant Singh were on scooter of Ajitpal Singh. When they reached Bus stand of Hamirgarh Dera Bias then at about 6:00 P.M. one truck bearing No.RJ13G/3119 came from the opposite direction and hit the scooter of Ajitpal Singh and Paramjit Singh. They succumbed to their injuries after accident. The driver of the truck-Karaj Singh was arrested and vehicle was taken into possession.

(2.) The statements of the accused were recorded and after investigation challan was presented in the Court.

(3.) The charges were framed under Sections 279/304A of IPC against the accused to which they pleaded not guilty and claimed trial.
