JUDGEMENT

(1.) Petitioner has filed the present petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 seeking quashing of FIR No.5 dated 03.01.2003, registered under 'of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 ('IPC' in short) at Police Station Division No.8, Ludhiana, and all the subsequent proceedings arising therefrom on the basis of compromise effected between the parties.

(2.) Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that now with the intervention of relatives and friends, parties have arrived at a compromise.

(3.) Respondents No.2 and 3 are present in person along with their counsel and have admitted the factum of compromise with the petitioner and have stated that they have no objection if the FIR in question is ordered to be quashed qua the petitioner. They have also tendered their original affidavits and compromise on record in this regard.
