(1.) THE epitome of the facts & material, culminating in the commencement, relevant for deciding the instant petition and emanating from the record, is that, initially, in the wake of complaint of complainant Amandeep Kaur, daughter of Resham Singh respondent No.2 (for brevity "the complainant"), a criminal case was registered against petitioners- accused Balwinder Singh son of Swaran Singh and his son Kawalnain Singh, by way of FIR No.60 dated 15.5.2011 (Annexure P-1), for the commission of offences punishable under Sections 420 and 120-B IPC by the police of Police Station Cantonment City, Amritsar.
(2.) DURING the course of investigation of the criminal case, good sense prevailed and the parties have amicably settled their disputes, by virtue of compromise/affidavit dated 4.9.2012 (Annexure P-2) of the complainant.
(3.) DURING the course of preliminary hearing, the Magistrate having the jurisdiction was directed to record the statements of all the concerned parties, with regard to the genuineness and validity or otherwise of the compromise (Annexure P-2) between them, by this court, by way of order dated 11.10.2012.
