JUDGEMENT

(1.) The appellant (to be described hereinafter as the accused faced the trial of the charge under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code for having committed murder of his wife Meena on 07.03.2005 in the area of Village Lohchabka and was convicted of the said offence vide judgment of the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Gurgaon and sentenced for life imprisonment and to pay a fine of Rs. 1,000/-; in default of payment of fine, to further undergo imprisonment of one month.

According to the prosecution version, PW-14, Sunil Kumar, Sub Inspector/SHO, Police Station, Pataudi accompanied by other police officials, was present in Pataudi City in connection with Examination duty, and reached village Lohchabka, on receiving telephonic information. He recorded the statement, Ex. PC of Rajender Parkash, on the basis of which the FIR Ex. PC/2 was registered. He prepared the inquest report Ex. PA and also recovered the blood stained earth from near the dead body. There were pieces of the broken bangles and black coloured head wear of the victim, stained with the blood, which were converted into parcels and taken into possession vide memo Ex. PD/1. The photographs of the scene of occurrence were also taken. He sent two police officials to the Civil Hospital for getting the postmortem examination of the dead body conducted.
