(1.) Concisely, the facts & material, culminating in the commencement, relevant for deciding the instant petition, for special leave to appeal and emanating from the record, are that, in the wake of statement (Ex.PA) of complainant Sarabjit Singh (PW1), a criminal case was registered against the respondents-accused, vide FIR No.82 dated 1.6.2004, for the commission of offences punishable under Sections 324, 427 and 447 read with Section 34 IPC by the police of Police Station Dasuya, District Hoshiarpur.
(2.) Having completed all the codal formalities, the trial Court acquitted the accused-respondents, by virtue of impugned judgment of acquittal dated 29.9.2011.
(3.) The petitioner-State of Punjab did not feel satisfied and preferred the present petition for special leave to file appeal, invoking the provisions of Section 378(3) Cr.PC.
