(1.) Feeling aggrieved against the alleged inaction on the part of the official respondents, the petitioner has approached this Court, by way of instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C., invoking its inherent jurisdiction seeking direction to the official respondents to taken appropriate action against respondent No.7, who despite having been convicted and his appeal having been dismissed, was not being apprehended.
(2.) Notice of motion was issued and pursuant thereto,reply by way of affidavit dated 16.7.2012 of Dinesh Pratap Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police, District Tarn Taran, was filed. However, this Court was not satisfied with the reply filed and the Commissioner of Police, Amritsar-respondent No.4 as well as Incharge of Special Team were directed to file status report by way of their separate affidavits, to show the result of their sincere efforts which were stated to have been made.

In compliance of the order dated 20.7.2012 passed by this Court, status report by way of affidavit dated 28.8.2012 of Kamaljit Singh Dhillon, Senior Superintendent of Police, Tarn Taran has been filed. Another status report by way of affidavit dated 28.8.2012 of Harpal Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Division Goindwal Sahib, District Tarn Taran, has been filed. Both the status reports are taken on record and copies thereof have been supplied to the learned counsel for the petitioner.
