(1.) PETITIONER-Angrej Singh son of Sukhdev Singh, has preferred the instant petition for regular bail in a case registered against him along with other more than 12 co-accused, by means of FIR No.5 dated 19.02.2007, on accusition of having committed offences punishable under Sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, 120-B IPC and Section 13(1) (C) (D) read with Section 13(2) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, by the police of Police Station Vigilance Bureau, Ferozepur, invoking the provisions of Section 439 Cr. P.C.
(2.) NOTICE of the petition was issued to the State.
(3.) IT is not a matter of dispute that petitioner-Angrej Singh is not the owner of the land in which the electric connection on tubewell was installed. Manpreet son of the petitioner has purchased the land along with electric connection of motor of the tubewell from on Hakam Singh in the year 2002. If that is so, then the involvement of the petitioner in the present case becomes somewhat doubtful. Learned counsel for the petitioner has stated at bar that the petitioner is not involved in any other criminal case.
