JUDGEMENT

(1.) Petitioner was convicted by the Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Malerkotla vide judgment 29.1.2009 for offence under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 and was ordered to undergo rigorous imprisonment for one year and to pay fine of 2,000/- and in default of payment of fine, to further undergo rigorous imprisonment for two months.

(2.) The aforesaid judgment of the Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Malerkotla was upheld by the Additional Sessions Judge, Sangrur vide judgment dated 5.9.2011.

(3.) The instant petition has been filed by the petitionerMaghar Singh, challenging the aforesaid judgments of the Courts below.
