GURJEYPAL SINGH Vs. STATE OF PUNJAB

JUDGEMENT

(1.) The present appeal has been filed against the judgment dated 30.11.2011 passed by Additional Sessions Judge, Kapurthala vide which a penalty of Rs.50,000/- has been imposed upon the appellant.

(2.) An FIR No.391 dated 17.12.2007 was registered under Sections 307,341,323,148,149 IPC registered at Police Station City Kapurthala against accused Harsimranjit Singh. The said accused was released on bail on furnishing of bail bonds to the satisfaction of trial Court.

(3.) The present appellant was surety in that case. Subsequently, accused Harsimranjit Singh was absented himself from the trial Court and was not traced out inspite of efforts made by the present appellant. Ultimately, the said accused was declared as proclaimed offender.
