JUDGEMENT

(1.) Vide this judgment, I intend to dispose of FAO No. 454 of 1997 titled as Aman Preet Kaur vs. Didar Singh and others and FAO No. 455 of 1997 titled as Devinder Kaur vs. Didar Singh and others, as both the appeal arise out of the same award dated 6.11.1996 passed by Sh. B.C. Rajput, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Rupnagar. For the sake of convenience, the facts are being taken from FAO No. 454 of 1997.

(2.) Briefly stated, Aman Preet Kaur filed claim petition under Section 166 of the Motor Vehicles Act claiming compensation on account of injuries sustained by her in a motor vehicular accident.

(3.) Whereas Devinder Kaur also filed claim petition claiming compensation on account of injuries sustained by her.
