RAM KISHAN Vs. STATE OF PUNJAB AND OTHERS

JUDGEMENT

(1.) The petitioner has approached this Court under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (for short, 'Cr. P. C. ') for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No. 60 dated 11.09.2012, registered under Sections 406, 498-A, 506, 323, 34 of the Indian Penal Code, registered at Police Station Jhansa, District Kurukshetra.

(2.) Reply on behalf of the respondent-State has been filed in the Court, which is taken on record. The learned counsel for the State submits that the petitioner has joined investigation on 27.09.2012 and made a statement that he is ready to hand over the entire dowry articles to the complainant. In pursuance of this statement, the complainant was issued notice to come and collect the dowry articles. The said notice is duly received by the complainant but she did not come forward.
