JUDGEMENT

(1.) Petitioner widow of Late Sh. Dharaminder Singh, who was serving the Education Department as a regular JBT Teacher and died in harness on 07.11.2005, has approached this Court assailing the order dated 20.10.2010 (Annexure P-6), vide which monthly financial assistance, as claimed by the petitioner under the Haryana Compassionate Assistance to the Dependents of Deceased Government Employees Rules, 2006 (hereinafter referred to as '2006 Rules') stands denied and instead an offer has been made for payment of Rs. 2.50,000/- as ex-gratia assistance.

(2.) Briefly, the facts of the case are that the husband of the petitioner was appointed as regular JBT Teacher in the year 1997.

(3.) He died while in service on 07.11.2005. Petitioner applied for compassionate appointment on the post of Clerk as per the statutory Rules/Instructions. The application of the petitioner was forwarded by the Block Education Officer, Naguran to the District Elementary Education Officer, Jind vide letter dated 08.12.2005 (Annexure P-1).
