(1.) This is an application filed by the applicant-appellant claiming maintenance pendente lite and litigation expenses on the ground that the applicant is a poor lady having a school going 12 years old daughter living with her. She is dependent upon her widowed mother and brother. The respondent/non-applicant is an able bodied person, an expert electrician and running an electric goods and appliances shop at Muktsar. His income is not less than ' 15,000/- p.m. She has sought the grant of maintenance pendente lite at ' 5,000/- p.m. and the litigation expenses of' 30,000/-.
(2.) The respondent filed reply to this application resisting the claim of the appellant. He has averred that the applicant is a well educated lady who has degrees in M.A., B.Ed., and she is earning ' 20,000/- p.m. from the job as a teacher in a private school and tuition work. The answering respondent is only a matric pass and is doing the job with a private shop at ' 3,000/- p.m.
