JUDGEMENT

(1.) Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure for quashing FIR No. 53 dated 31.5.2012 under Sections 498-A,323 of the Indian Penal Code ('IPC' for short), registered at Police Station Nihal Singh Walal, District Moga (Annexure P-1) and subsequent proceedings arising therefrom in view of the compromise arrived at between the parties (Annexure P2).

(2.) Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the parties have arrived at a compromise with the intervention of the relatives and respectables .

(3.) Respondent No.2-Saravjit Kaur is present in person alongwith her counsel and has admitted the factum of compromise between the parties. She has stated that she has no objection,if the FIR is ordered to be quashed. Respondent No.2-Saravjit Kaur has tendered her affidavit on record in this regard.
