(1.) The brief facts of the case are that Sanjiv Kumar was held guilty for the offence punishable under Section 302 read with Section 34, IPC, and sentenced to undergo imprisonment for life. The convict, Sanjiv Kumar, during his incarceration, granted parole and on 22.9.2008. The petitioner, Jasmer Singh, stood surety for Sanjiv Kumar for releasing him on parole and as such furnished a surety bond in the sume of Rs. 2,00,000/-. However, Sanjiv Kumar did not surrender before the Superintendent, District Jail, Kurukshetra, on the stipulated date, therefore, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, the surety bond furnished by him was forfeited to the State by the learned District Magistrate, Kurukshetra, vide order dated 9.8.2011.
(2.) Aggrieved by the order, dated 9.8.,2011, passed by the learned District Magistrate, Kurukshetra, the petitioner filed an appeal before the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Kurukshetra, but the same was dismissed on 24.8.2012.
(3.) The petitioner has challenged the above said two orders passed by the District Magistrate and that of learned Additional Sessions Judge, Kurukshetra, by way of the present criminal revision petition.
