SATVIR SINGH Vs. STATE OF PUNJAB & OTHERS

JUDGEMENT

(1.) An FIR No.45 dated 5.4.2006 under Sections 420/406 IPC at P.S. Bassi Pathana, District Fatehgarh Sahib has been registered against the petitioner. However, he was convicted by the Courts below for an offence under Section 420 IPC only and was sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of two years and to pay fine of Rs.500/- and in default of payment of fine, to further undergo rigorous imprisonment for seven days.

(2.) Along with this revision petition, CRM No.M-23998 of 2012 has been filed, seeking permission of this Court to compound the offence with the respondent-complainant, on the basis of a written compromise dated 22.4.2012, attached as Annexure C-1 with this application. Notice of this application was also given to the State of Punjab.

(3.) Mr. Jasveer Singh, Advocate has put in appearance on behalf of respondents No.2 and 3 (complainants).
