JUDGEMENT

(1.) TENANTS/judgment debtors Puran Chand etc. have filed this revision petition under Section 15(5) of the East Punjab Urban Rent Restriction Act, 1949 (in short, the Act).

(2.) RESPONDENT-landlord Ajay Kumar filed ejectment petition under Section 13 of the Act against tenants/petitioners herein. The tenants appeared before the Rent Controller and contested the ejectment petition. Part evidence of the landlord was recorded in the presence of counsel for the tenants. Thereafter, none appeared for the tenants before the Rent Controller on 29.05.2008 and accordingly the tenants were proceeded against ex parte. The ejectment petition was allowed vide ex parte ejectment order dated 25.11.2008 (Annexure P-1) by the Rent Controller.

(3.) THE aforesaid application was contested by the landlord by filing reply Annexure P-3.
