MANDEEP SINGH Respondents

JUDGEMENT

(1.) The present application has been preferred by the applicantwife under Section 24 of the Code of Civil Procedure, praying for the transfer of the petition titled as Mandeep Singh Vs. Amandeep Kaur, filed by the respondent under Section 13 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 (for short 'the Act'), from the Court of learned Additional District Judge, Jalandhar, to the Court of competent jurisdiction at Ropar.

(2.) Learned counsel for the applicant contends that the applicant, who was earlier residing at Jalandhar, has shifted back to Anandpur Sahib, District Ropar, after the dispute arose between the parties and is presently staying with her parents. She has already made a request to her employer to transfer her from Jalandhar to Ropar. She also lodged a complaint dated 23.1.2012, under Section 406/498A IPC, against the respondent and his parents and also filed a complaint under the Prevention of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, before the SDJM, Anandpur Sahib.

(3.) On the other hand, the learned counsel for the respondent states that the applicant is still posted at Government School, Buta Mandi, Jalandhar and no inconvenience is likely to be caused to her if she attends to the Court proceedings at Jalandhar.
