JUDGEMENT

(1.) THIS appeal has been filed by the Amritsar Transport Company Private Limited (hereinafter referred as 'the Transport Company ') against the judgment -cum -award dated October 13, 2001 passed by Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Amritsar (for short 'the Tribunal ').

(2.) AMRIK Singh died in a road accident on May 28, 1997 on account of rash and negligent driving of truck No.PJA -9465 (for short 'the offending truck ').

(3.) IT was pleaded by the claimants that Amrik Singh was 37 years old. He was plying horse -driven cart. His income was Rs.4500/ - per month.
