VIJAY SINGH Vs. STATE OF PUNJAB & OTHERS

JUDGEMENT

(1.) Feeling aggrieved against the alleged ineffective investigation in FIR No.136 dated 20.05.2011 under Sections 307/458/447/511/506/148/149 IPC registered at police station Rajpura City, petitioner has approached this Court through the instant petition under Section 482 Cr.PC praying for direction for taking effecting steps and to carry out the fair investigation.

(2.) Notice of motion was issued. Reply has been filed.

Learned counsel for the State, on instructions from HC Jaspal Singh, Police Station City Rajpura, submits that after thorough investigation conducted by DSP, Rural, Patiala, two persons were arrested. Two were declared innocent. Two persons have been granted anticipatory bail by the Court of competent jurisdiction and the proceedings for declaring proclaimed offenders are going on against remaining two accused persons. Learned counsel for the State further submits that in view of the above noted developments having taken place, the present petition does not survive and may be disposed of, as such.
