(1.) This judgment will dispose of three connected Letters Patent Appeal Nos. 138, 139 and 140 of 1970. It is conceded by the learned counsel for both the parties that the decision in Letters Patent Appeal No. 138 will govern the other cases as well. Therefore, I will give the facts of that appeal.
(2.) Nandu Mal sold two plots, measuring 50' x l5' each, situate in village Ganaur, District Rohtak, to Subhash Chand for Rs. 1500/-. The sale-deed was executed on 20th April, 1963, but it was registered on 24th February, 1964. On 5th February, 1965, Jugmander Das, son of the vendor, brought a suit for possession of this property by pre-emption on the basis of his relationship.
(3.) The suit was contested by the vendee on a number of grounds, but we, in this appeal are only concerned with one of them, namely, that the suit was barred by limitation.
