JUDGEMENT

(1.) HEARD learned Counsel for the parties.

(2.) THE Petitioner seeks regular bail in a case registered against her on 11.6.2010 for the offences under Sections 306 and 498 -A IPC.

(3.) ACCORDING to the learned Counsel for the Petitioner, she slipped and unfortunately crushed under the coming train. The case of the prosecution, however, is that Suman was married with Ram Rattan in April 2003. The in -laws of Suman were unhappy with the dowry given at the time of marriage, therefore, they have been torturing her. This was informed by Suman when she visited her brother's (complainant's) house. Suman had complained against the torture by her in -laws but due to social pressure of the parents, she was sent to her in -laws house. It is alleged that on account of physical and mental torture Suman had committed suicide by jumping before the train. In respect of the incident that occurred on 8.6.2010 the FIR was lodged on 11.6.2010. The prosecution is to establish and prove its case by leading evidence. It is to be ascertained whether Suman had committed suicide or it is a case of accident. More than seven years had admittedly lapsed between the date of the incident and the marriage. The Petitioner is a lady and aged about 70 years according to the Petitioner but according to prosecution she is aged about 65 years. The Petitioner is in custody in the case since 18.9.2010. The trial in the case is likely to take time.
