JUDGEMENT

(1.) THIS is a petition for regular bail in a case registered vide FIR No. 168 dated 23.6.2010, under Section 20/61/85 of the Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (for short,' the Act') at Police Station Kharar, District SAS Nagar Mohali.

(2.) THE petitioner was granted bail by the learned trial Court but he absented on 14.11.2010 and was declared a proclaimed offender on 11.2.2011. Thereafter, his warrants of arrest were issued for 4.3.2011 but he was apprehended/surrendered on 28.2.2011.

(3.) AFTER hearing the learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case but without making any observations on the merit, the present petition is allowed and the petitioner is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds with heavy surety to the satisfaction of the learned trial Court. The petitioner is further directed to mark his presence on every Sunday in the concerned police station where the case was registered.
