JUDGEMENT

(1.) COPY of application sent by post by Rajinder Kumar Sharma to Hon'ble the Chief Justice of this Court has been registered as instant criminal writ petition and listed on judicial side.

(2.) IT is inter alia alleged in the application that on 24.07.2011, Gurjant Singh Badal - SHO of Police Station Jaiton picked up the Petitioner from his house and threatened to register a criminal case against him, if he did not produce his son Pardeep Kumar. The SHO did not allow the Petitioner to leave the Police Station till his son appeared in the Police Station. When Petitioner's son appeared in the Police Station, he was tortured. Petitioner's son is in illegal detention since 24.07.2011.

(3.) PETITIONER has put in appearance through counsel, who states that parties have effected compromise, and therefore, the Petitioner does not want any further action on his application.
