JUDGEMENT

(1.) THIS petition has been filed under Section 482, Code of Criminal Procedure, praying for quashing of FIR No. 13 dated 17.1.2011 under Sections 506, 34, Indian Penal Code, Police Station, Sector 36, Chandigarh (Annexure P -1) and subsequent proceedings, on the basis of compromise dated 2.6.2011 (Annexure P -2).

(2.) LEARNED Counsel for Respondent No. 2 states that the disputes between Respondent No. 2 and the Petitioner have been settled. Respondent No. 2 does not want to prosecute the Petitioner.

(3.) CONTINUANCE of proceedings would not serve any purpose in law. The complainant is not ready to prosecute the Petitioner.
