JUDGEMENT

(1.) THE son of the petitioner died on 09.03.2009 in Railway accident. The petitioner made an application for payment of Rs. 1 lakh under the policy formulated by the Government known as Rajiv Gandhi Parivar Bima Yojna. The petitioner had fulfilled all the requirements and had made an application but still the amount due was not released. Ultimately, he filed this present writ petition on 31.03.2010.

(2.) NOTICE was issued. Reply has been filed by the respondent -State as well as private respondent No. 4, which is Reliance General Insurance Company. In the reply, the Insurance Company has stated that the petitioner was held entitled and eligible for payment. Respondent -Insurance Company had also undertaken in the reply that an amount of Rs. 1 lakh would be disbursed within a period of four months. This reply was filed on 25.02.2011. Concededly, the insurance claim has not been released so far.
