(1.) THIS order will also dispose of Civil Revision Petition No. 2494 of 1989, as both these petitions have been filed against the same order of the Additional District Judge, Amritsar, dated April 29, 1989 passed on an application under section 24 of the Hindu Marriage Act.
(2.) BY virtue of the said application, the trial Court found that the income of the husband was not less than Rs. 2,000/- per month and consequently, allowed a sum of Rs. 500/- as maintenance pendente lite to the wife and Rs. 1,000/- as litigation expenses Dissatisfied with the same Civil Revision No. 1704 of 1989 has been filed by the husband Inderpal Singh whereas Civil Revision Petition No. 2494 of 1989 has been filed by the wife Inderjit Kaur.
(3.) THE main grievance of the petitioner-husand is that the Court at Amritsar had no jurisdiction to entertain the petition under the said Act Admittedly no such objection was raised before the learned Additional District Judge, nor any finding to that effect has been given. That being so, this objection cannot be entertained in this Court for the first time in the revisional jurisdiction. However, it will be open to the husband to take this objection in the trial Court where the proceedings under the aforementioned Act are pending. In these circumstances, I do not find any justification for interference in either of the revision petitions.
