JUDGEMENT

(1.) This matter is being taken up for hearing through video conferencing due to outbreak of the pandemic, COVID-19.

(2.) Prayer in this petition is for quashing of FIR No. 0034 dated 07.02.2018, under Sections 323, 325, 34 IPC, registered at Police Station Civil Line, Sonipat, District Sonipat (Annexure P-1), along with consequential proceedings arising therefrom on the basis of a compromise dated 08.07.2020 (Annexure P-2), arrived at between the parties.

It is submitted that the abovesaid FIR is the result of a matrimonial dispute, in respect to which FIR No. 67 dated 09.08.2016, under Sections 406, 498- A, 354, 506, 511, 34 IPC, was registered at Police Station Women District Sonipat. CRM-M-23631 of 2020 has been filed for quashing of the said FIR on the basis of a compromise arrived at between the parties. In the said petition, the parties vide order dated 21.08.2020 were directed to appear before the learned Duty Magistrate/ Illaqa Magistrate on 03.09.2020 for recording of their statements.
