KARAM CHAND Vs. STATE OF PUNJAB AND OTHERS

Decided On September 06, 2010
KARAM CHAND Appellant
V/S
STATE OF PUNJAB AND OTHERS Respondents

JUDGEMENT

(1.) The petitioner is aggrieved by the order dated 16.8.2010. by which the Sarpanch of the village, namely, Mohinder Singh, against whom a complaint had been made at the behest of the petitioner, had been reinstated. Initially Mohinder Singh was suspended on the complaint made by the petitioner but after regular inquiry it was found that even though the trees were cut but the same were cut by Balvir Singh and said Mohinder Singh was in fact trying to check him. His presence at the spot was, therefore, only to restrain Balvir Singh from cutting the trees and it cannot be said to be an act of acquiescence on his part as the petitioner wants this Court to believe. After facing the regular inquiry said Mohinder Singh had been reinstated and consequently I do not find any merit in the writ petition when no legal infirmity is shown to have been committed.

(2.) No ground to interfere.

(3.) Dismissed.
