BALWINDER SINGH Vs. STATE OF PUNJAB AND ANR

JUDGEMENT

(1.) This is a petition under Section 482 Code of Criminal Procedure for quashing of FIR No. 3 dated 01.01.2009 under Section 498A, 34 of Indian Penal Code, P S Balachaur, District Shaheed Bhagat Sigh Nagar (Nawanshahr) (Annexure P-1) which was got registered by Respondent No. 2 -complainant against the present Petitioners on the basis of the compromise dated 10.11.2010 arrived at between the parties. Copy of the same has been placed on record as Annexure P-2.

(2.) Narinder Kaur-complainant is present in Court. She has been identified by HC-Ravel Singh, PS Balachaur. She filed her affidavit, stating therein that the matter has been compromised with her free will and she has no objection if the said FIR is quashed. The same is taken on record. To that effect, her statement has also been got recorded in Court today.

(3.) In the present case, the matrimonial dispute led to filing of the FIR. Now the same has been resolved amicably. The complainant has no objection if the said FIR is quashed.
