JUDGEMENT

(1.) This petition has been filed under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No. 293 dated 24.10.2008 under Sections 419, 420, 467, 468, 471 read with Section 120-B of the Indian Penal Code ("IPC" for short), registered at Police Station Division No. 5, Civil Lines, Ludhiana.

(3.) Learned Counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner was innocent and has been falsely involved in this case. Dharampal Singh was still alive and had been granted citizenship in Canada in the year 2000.
