AMRIK SINGH Vs. STATE OF PUNJAB

JUDGEMENT

(1.) Prayer is under Section 438 Cr.PC for grant of anticipatory bail to the Petitioner Amrik Singh in case FIR No. 41 dated 31.1.2009 under Sections 406, 420 and 120-B of Indian Penal Code registered with Police Station Sadar, Patiala.

(2.) It is submitted that allegations in the FIR lodged by complainant Kanhaiya are that he had given a sum of Rs. 1.65 lacs to the main accused Jaswinder Singh for sending his son Parvinder Kumar to Korea. Petitioner is alleged to be only wintess to said transaction and as such not connected with the offence.

(3.) Learned Counsel for the Petitioner further submits that Petitioner has filed Crl. Misc. No. M 29626 of 2010 for quashing of the FIR on the basis of the compromise with the complainant. He further submits that the Petitioner has joined the investigation.
