JUDGEMENT

(1.) THIS petition is directed against the order dated 18. 07. 2007 passed by the Director of Secondary Education, Assam determining the seniority amongst the teachers of Sarthebari Higher Secondary School and consequently allowing Smt. Parbati Patowary, respondent No. 4, to hold the current charge of Principal of the said School.

(2.) THE facts leading to the filing of the present writ petition may be noticed as under:-

THE Director of Secondary Education, Assam vide order dated 18. 07. 2007 has determined the seniority amongst the petitioners and other teachers of Sarthebari Higher Secondary School including the respondent Nos. 4 and 5, holding that the respondent No. 4 Smti. Parbati Patowary is the seniormost teacher of the said school. Such determination has been made on the basis of the dates of joining in the school by the teachers and by taking into consideration the period of ad-hoc services rendered by the petitioner and the respondent Nos. 4 and 5. Hence, the present petition.
