(1.) None appears for the petitioner when the matter is called upon.

(2.) Heard Mr. R Barpujari, learned Standing counsel, Finance Department as well as Mr. SP Bhattacharjee, learned Standing counsel, Education Department.

(3.) The petitioner had participated in a selection process for the post of Graduate Teacher in the High Schools of Assam along with many other candidates. After duly participating in the selection process and upon the list being published in the year 2001, the name of the petitioner appeared in Sl.No.12 of the select list.
