JUDGEMENT

(1.) Heard Shri I Ahmed, learned counsel for the petitioners. Also heard Shri D Bora, learned State Counsel, Assam appearing on behalf of all the respondents.

(2.) The petitioners, who are three in numbers, have approached this Court with a prayer to give effect of their joining in service as Statistical Assistant in the Directorate of Social Welfare w.e.f. 20/2/2016.

(3.) The fact projected is that pursuant to a recruitment drive vide an advertisement dtd. 24/2/2014 for the post of Statistical Assistant in the Directorate of Social Welfare, the petitioners had offered their candidatures.
