JUDGEMENT

(1.) This is an application made under Sec. 439 Cr.P.C., seeking bail by the accused-petitioner, namely, Altaf Hussain, in connection with Dhubri P.S. Case No.1800/2020, registered under Ss. 365/34 of the Indian Penal Code, read with Sec. 4 of the POCSO Act.

(2.) Heard Ms. R. Choudhury, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. Bidyut Sarma, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam for the Respondent State.

(3.) The petitioner, while in custody in connection with another case, was shown arrested in the instant case on 11/10/2021, and, as such, he has been in custody for 91 days as on date.
