JUDGEMENT

(1.) Heard Mr. HRA Choudhury, learned senior counsel assisted by Mr. A Ahmed, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. RJ Baruah, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing for the State respondent.

(2.) This is an application, filed under Sec. 439 of the Cr.PC. seeking bail of the accused-petitioner, namely, Lal Badsha Bania @ Lalu @ Ladu, in connection with Special NDPS Case No. 06/2021 arising out of Dhaligaon P.S. Case No. 150/2021 registered under Ss. 17(C)/29 of the NDPS Act.

(3.) The scanned copy of the case diary along with the status report has been received and perused. The case has been charge-sheeted against the petitioner for possessing commercial quantity of contraband.
