JUDGEMENT

(1.) THIS appeal is directed against the judgment dated 9.12.2004 passed by the learned Sessions Judge, Sivasagar in Sessions Case No.77(S-S)2003 convicting the accused appellants of offence under Section 27 (ii) of the Arms Act, read with Section 25 (i) (a) of the Arms Act and under Section 392 of the Indian Penal Code and sentencing them to suffer rigorous imprisonment for 7 years and a fine of Rs.1,000/- each in default, to rigorous imprisonment for another three months for offence under Section 27(2) read with Section 25(1)(1AA) of the Arms Act and sentencing them to suffer rigorous imprisonment for 5 years and a fine of Rs.1,000/-each in default to rigorous imprisonment for another three months for the offence under Section 392 I.P.C. Both the sentences are to run concurrently as per the judgment impugned.

(2.) BEING aggrieved by and dissatisfied with the aforesaid judgment, the accused appellants preferred this jail appeal.

(3.) THOUGH initially, the accused denied the allegations brought against them but subsequently, they admitted that they committed the offence they were charged with. However on completion.
