JUDGEMENT

(1.) This is a common order to these matters as the petitioners have prayed for pre-arrest bail in the same police case.

(2.) Heard Mr. A. Hawari and Mr. S. Munir, learned counsels appearing for the petitioners and Mr. B.B. Gogoi, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam for the State.

(3.) The petitioners namely Pankaj Looson Dutta, Sri Aminul Islam, Sri Prakash Kumar Saikia, Sri Ramu Chetri, Sri Bijay Kumar Shah, Sri Aminur Rahman, Sri Harun Uz Zaman Choudhury and Shri Sahjahan Ali @ Sahajahan Ali have prayed for pre-arrest bail under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 in the matter of Basistha Police Station Case No. 771/2020 registered under Sections 120B/468/ 471/420 of the IPC, read with Section 41 of the Assam Forest Regulation Act.
