JUDGEMENT

(1.) THIS appeal under Section 15 of Consumer Protection Act, 1986 is directed against the order dated 7.3.2008 passed in Complaint Case No. 20/06 by District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, Bilaspur (hereinafter called the "District Forum" for short).

(2.) BRIEF facts necessary for disposal of this appeal are that the complainant had opened account bearing Nos.12739202739 and 12739202740 for a sum of Rs. 1,00,000 each under Silver Year Plan on 29.11.2003. As per averments of the complaint the complainant was entitled to withdraw the amount deposited by him after a period of 2 years but before completion of the period of 10 years. The complainant had moved an application on 14.11.2005 before the OPs for withdrawing the amount but the same was not made available to the complainant despite several reminders. Hence, the complaint was filed.

(3.) THE O.Ps. resisted the complaint on the ground that there was no provision in the scheme for pre -maturity payment.
