JUDGEMENT

(1.) INFORMATION Commissioner 1. The complainant, Shri R.K. Jain, submitted RTI application (7700) dated 7 January 2014 before the Central Public Information Officer (CPIO), M/o Statistics and Programme Implementation, New Delhi; seeking information regarding permission sought by Shri Pankaj Shreyaskar to apply and get admission in JNU for PHD, copy of application on the request made by the officer, date when permission/NOC was granted in 2012 and 2013 for the aforesaid information, file numbers in which the matter was dealt with, copies of note sheets etc, through a total of 9 points.

(2.) VIDE letter 10 January 2014, the CPIO informed the complainant that relevant files had been already inspected by the complainant on 18.12.2013 and identified pages had also been provided to him. The first appeal dated 17 January 2014 filed with the first appellate authority (FAA) is pending with the First Appellate Authority.

(3.) THE complainant preferred complaint under section 18 of RTI Act, 2005 stating that the CPIO's action was mala fide and contrary to the provisions of RTI Act, 2005, in as much as he extended that the information has earlier been provided by giving inspection of file No. 12020/3/2012/ISS and supply of copies of the relevant pages.
