JUDGEMENT

(1.) The subject matter in issue relates to the validity and correctness of the process of recruitment in respect of the Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive Examination (Main), 2016.

(2.) After the preliminary examination was conducted on 03- 07-2016, the Main Examinations were conducted from 4-9-2016 to 23-9-2016 in which, it is reported, 1069 candidates participated. The result of the Main Examination was declared on 4-10-2016 and the interview was held from 17-10-2016 to 22-10-2016.

(3.) Some of the candidates who were not successful in the Main Examination approached this Court by way of a writ petition being WP(C) No. 803 of 2016 and other connected writ petitions. This Court, while issuing notices in the said writ petitions passed an interim order directing the MPSC not to declare the results but subsequently, vide order dated 21-12-2016, this Court allowed the declaration of the result.
