JUDGEMENT

(1.) Heard Mr. M. Devananda, learned counsel appears for the petitioner and Mr. S. Suresh, learned ASG appears for the respondents.

(2.) This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking to quash the impugned transfer and posting order/message dated 05.09.2017 issued by the respondent authorities and to allow him to complete his tenure in 57 Mountain Division, Leimakhong.

Briefly stated, the case of the petitioner is as follows: The petitioner received a message dated 02.05.2017 from the Military Secretary's Branch (MS-2B) Integrated Headquarters of MOD (Army), New Delhi, stating that he was posted from Dehradun to Headquarters 27 Mountain Division as Establishment Officer, which was located at Kalimpong, West Bengal. When the petitioner was in preparation to move to Kalimpong, he had received transfer/posting order dated 20.05.2017 stating that he was posted to Headquarters 57 Mountain Division at Leimakhong, Imphal, Manipur as Field Cash Officer of the said Division.
