JUDGEMENT

(1.) Heard Mr. M.Rarry, learned counsel for the petitioners as well as Mr. B.P.Sahu, learned senior counsel assisted by Ms.Jotibala Devi, learned counsel for the Manipur University. Also heard Mr. A.Bimol, learned counsel for the U.G.C as well as Ms. Joan Kipgen, learned counsel for the Union respondent.

Pursuant to that direction, the Manipur University filed an affidavit on 07.12.2016 stating that there is a subject of Applied Linguistics at Master Degree level for which the post of Assistant Professor in Hindi Department, Manipur University with specialization in Applied Linguistics was advertised as quoted hereinbelow:-
