JUDGEMENT

(1.) HEARD Mr. I. Bikramjit, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr. Kh. Nobin, learned Addl. Advocate General, Manipur assisted by Mr. O. Ratankumar, learned Jr. G.A appearing for the State respondents No.1 and 2 as well as Mr. N. Amarjit, learned CGSC appearing for the Union of India (respondent No.3).

(2.) IN the present writ petition, the petitioner has challenged his detention under order No. DC(CCP) CRIL/NSA/ 2012 -12 dated 29.12.2012 under the National Security Act, 1980 (hereinafter referred to as the "Act") passed by the District Magistrate, Churachandpur, Manipur.

(3.) THE grounds of detention dated 02.01.2013 were served upon the petitioner along with the relevant documents. Subsequently, the aforesaid detention order was approved by the State Government vide order dated 10.01.2013 and confirmed vide order dated 30.01.2013.
